A NOTE ABOUT THIS GUIDE
We’re so excited to be working with you and we can’t wait for our time together during your maternity session! It’s normal to be a little nervous about your session. We always tell people that we still get nervous before having our photos taken - and I do this for a living!
This current season deserves to be worth capturing. Next year at this time, you'll look back and be SO grateful you documented this season! What a joy!
There is a lot to think about when it comes to planning a session and since we get asked the same things over and over again, we thought it would be the most beneficial if we put together a guide that walks you through everything you need to know.
We’ll cover what to wear, how to prep for your session, heirlooms and more!
- CHRISTA
We recommend scheduling your maternity session around the beginning of your third trimester!
We have our own wardrobe to help take the stress of dress planning off your plate with a variety of dress options! Christa can walk you through those, or plan an apt for try-ons! Each dress is dry cleaned between use.
WHAT TO WEAR
Choose something that ties or comes in at the waist or below the bust. Long and flowy photographs really well!
I do not recommend tight floor length cotton dresses.

We highly recommend having a professional take care of this for you! Let us know if you need recommendations!
A manicure goes far too! We’ll be getting closeups of the bump with your hands on it!
If a partner is involved, have him match how dressy mom’s dress is.
For dressy: a button down and jeans/khakis are a great fit!
For a little more casual: nice jeans, and a solid henley will help with a cozy look
Christa will take care of you from start to finish and show you how to pose, as well as
